CHERI GLOVER
ABOUT ME
I’m Cheri Glover. Most everything I do is a process of taking pieces of things and putting them together in an order that appeals to my heart and soul. For the past forty years or so I’ve been a dance instructor and choreographer. I've also been a mosaic artist and weaver and previously had a successful career in corporate America while raising two children as a single mom.
Writing has been in my blood since childhood, at my mother’s insistence and my good fortune. During my corporate career in the 1980's and 90's, I was the chief writer for upper management communications and contributed to the regional marketing materials. I was able to apply my creative side to writing when I began blogging in 2006 and I’ve been fortunate enough to be published in several local magazines.
A recent breast cancer diagnosis inspired my retirement from dance and finally afforded me the opportunity to begin writing a memoir series. The first installment, The End is the Beginning, chronicles my first quarter century on earth including adventure, intrigue, sorrow and love as well as, self-help snippets. My intention is to help guide the survivors of life's many challenges and offer hope and encouragement where circumstances offer none of their own. In particular, I intend to help young widows in their survival and recovery process.
I currently live in Florida with my husband of over 20 years, three fat, geriatric cats and a wonderful art studio. I’m grateful to be beginning my next career and becoming the author I’ve waited to be since I was fourteen years old.
